Remember Brows are sisters, not twins
Since Cara Delevigne featured on the cover of Vogue, eyebrows have earned a special status in the beauty world. Brows can shape your face, highlight your eyes or entirely transform your look. The skinny, plucked brow is no longer the default and more than ever, thick, natural brows and strong arches are among the most popular treatments at beauty salons.
Eyebrow trends come and go but at the end of the day, the right brow treatment for you is the one that channels your individual look and unique personality. But does achieving your perfect eyebrows involve semi permanent brows or a wax and tint?
Scrolling through the long lists of treatments can be overwhelming and so we have broken down each treatment to help you make an informed decision about which treatment is best for you.
Henna Brows
Henna Brows are a type of brow treatment that involves tinting the skin below the brow hair. This is a popular choice among people who have thin or fair eyebrows that lack depth or fullness.
By applying dye to the skin rather than the brow, you can create a fuller, more natural look. Regular brow tinting darkens the hairs but if there are gaps in the brow, tinting only makes the gaps more noticeable. By applying semi-permanent dye to the skin beneath the brow, you can create the appearance of voluminous, fluffy brows.
Are henna brows right for you?
If you have sparse eyebrows as a result of over-plucking, a medical condition or hormonal changes, henna brows can help you restore your brows to their natural aesthetic. The effects of henna treatments typically last 4-6 weeks, making henna brows a popular beauty treatment among those who are looking for something a little less permanent than an eyebrow tattoo.
Brow Lamination: Brush Your Way to Flirty, Feathered Brows
Laminated brows are the solution to eyebrows that don't do what you tell them to do. If you often wake up to brow hairs that are pointing in all different directions, leaving annoying gaps, this beauty treatment may well be the answer you have been seeking.
The treatment involves brushing through the eyebrow hairs with a treatment solution. This is left on for around 20 minutes to make your hairs more malleable. The brushes can then be brushed into place and held there using a laminating solution. The result is a well-groomed, brushed-up look that lasts all day and all night for up to six weeks.
Is brow lamination right for you?
Brow lamination may be the right treatment for you love the natural, feathered brow look. Lamination is a great choice for people with irregular or sparse brows who are after that signature Taylor Hill look.
Ombré Brows: A Long-Lasting, Soft and Natural Brow
The Ombré Brow is a technique that creates a softer, more natural brow. Rather than colouring the brow with one tone, the ombré technique uses a softer colour at the front and then slowly moves into a darker tail.
Ombré brows are achieved by using dots of pigment, similar to traditional tattooing. These dots gradually build up to reveal great depth and definition. The benefit of this technique is that the results can last up to three years, so you don't need to make regular trips to the salon for top-up treatments.
Are ombré brows right for you?
If you are ready to invest in a long-lasting statement brow, ombré brows may just be the right treatment for you. We can tailor the ombré brow to suit your individual preferences by working with your natural brow shape and colour. Customers should note, however, that there is a strict period of aftercare required while your brows heal.
Brow Shape and Tint: Perfect and Define Your Way to Face-Framing Brows
Tinting is the process of applying semi-permanent dye to your eyebrow hairs. Adding a tint increases dimension and gives your brow more structure.
A shaping and tinting treatment involves shaping the brows to your ideal shape and then applying a tint to the brow hairs. Unlike henna, the dye will cling to your hairs and not to the skin. We recommend choosing a colour fairly similar to your natural colour for your first tint.
Is brow shape and tint the treatment for you?
If you find yourself filling in your eyebrows most days, tinting could be the solution to your brow needs. The result is a strong, defined brow which will have you abandoning your eyebrow pencil for good.
